About me
Before I had even completed my studies in Vienna, it became clear to me that orthopaedics was calling my name. After all, sports and mobility were a central topic for me from a very early age.
I was a football player for Austria Wien and played in the U16 to U19 Austrian national team. Following my football career and my medicine studies, I got started on making my professional dream a reality.
Thanks to my intensive years of training in competitive sports, I am very familiar with my body and my performance limits – however, I learned early on to live with symptoms of wear and tear in my hips and physical pain: This means I know exactly what post-surgery pain feels like…
It is this background that allows me to empathize strongly with my patients and to understand that they desire an active life with movement (and free from pain).

The joints of the human body fascinate me.
My patients can count on my many years of clinical experience: I have operated over 1,500 knee joints and around 1,300 hip joints. To this day, I am still fascinated by joints as complex as the human knee and hip, for which research is continuously developing new therapy options.
Keeping my finger on the pulse in this field and using innovative, supportive technologies is what drives me.
